The second edition of Beyond Eden takes place this weekend at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery at Barnsdall Park, October 9-10. Beyond Eden features a focused group of Los Angeles based galleries who specialize in street, underground comics, anime and emerging contemporary arts featuring: Carmichael, C.A.V.E., Copro, Crewest, La Luz De Jesus, LeBasse Projects and Thinkspace.
Dabs Myla Installation
I stopped by to say hello to everyone and check out the installation process. Dabs Myla were busy painting an entire wall and installing a variety of 3-Dimensional pieces. The artwork represented was looking good and the venue is an architectural gem. Rumor has it, that the Barnsdall Park is looking at closure due to a lack of funding this December. (serious bummer as it is the site of the Hollyhock House by Frank Lloyd Wright).
