Emotionally gestural, Jason’s subjects work within a world of artistic magnification painted with special attention to human emotion and figural rendition.
The private premiere of Jason Shawn Alexander’s new collection of fine art paintings, as well as introduction to the new 101/exhibit gallery in Los Angeles on Thursday, October 11 at 7PM. Jason’s large narrative works on canvas are a thoughtful mix of painterly gesture, emotional exposition and modern deconstruction. This is the first LA exhibition of Jason Shawn Alexander’s work in two years and first opportunity to review his first published collection of paintings, “Undertow.”
