Moon Blast : New Painting

Not sure why, but I am still thinking about NASA’s decision to fire a bus sized bomb into the moon. The LCROSS project swirls within my mind as a symbol of human advancement without kind regard to nature and the forces that assist in harmonious rotation.

None-the-less, it has conjured imaginative thoughts within my head and a new painting entitled, "Moon Blast." The painting is 9" x 12" and features graphite, inks and watercolors. And a poem on the back of the piece :

Shoot a rocket
to tear out my insides.
Thirsty we are
for creamy center,
only to find gray dust
full of bones.
Scorned, we loose control.
